Teardrop shaped hanging planter made from steam bent oak. Ideal for displaying trailing plants and inspired by Scandinavian style and design. Designed mainly for indoor use but can also be used outside.
Available in 3 sizes and supplied with a 70cm length of natural cotton rope as shown in the photos (if you require a longer length please let me know when ordering). It has an eye fitting in the top for hanging and the base has a shallow rebate to locate the pot. It can be hung for example from a cup hook in the ceiling (not supplied), a curtain pole or an exposed beam. Note that we also sell a wall-mounted version of the planter which comes with a wall bracket (see separate listing).
A dimension diagram is shown in the last photo. Every planter is handmade using reclaimed or locally sourced oak and finished with linseed oil and a beeswax balm. Oak can vary in colour and grain patterns so please expect some variation from item to item although the pictures aim to show a typical example. The plants and pots shown are for display only and aren't included.
OUTDOOR USE Although the planter is mainly intended for indoor use it can also be used outside - oak is very durable and the fixings are stainless steel so won't rust. If you intend to put it outside please let us know and we will include a small hole in the base so rainwater can drain out. We recommend hanging it in a sheltered location or bringing it in in very windy conditions. The oak will weather over time to a grey colour, which is normal. If you want to maintain the oak colour, apply linseed oil or similar from time to time.
EU BUYERS Orders can take 1-2 weeks to arrive. For orders under €150 you should not have to pay any additional fees to receive your item. For orders over €150 the courier will charge you an additional amount to cover EU import VAT, a customs fees plus a handling fee to deliver your order.
